Explorer Scouts



Welcome to the Explorer Scout Unit!

We meet every Friday night between 1900hrs and 2100hrs in the Scout and Guide Hut behind the post office. The Explorers range from 14 to 18 years old and take part in a variety of activities from Group nights to day/night events and nights away.

The Group is made up of 1 Explorer Scout Leader, 1 Assistant Explorer Scout Leaders and a group of explorers. The Explorer Scout Leader is Graeme Hartley and the Assistant Explorer Scout Leader is and John D Speak, who can be contacted via email or Phone.

If your child is interested in joining our Group please fill in an application form and we will be in touch as soon as there is a place available for them.


Explorer Scout Unit reopens!!

After a brief period of being closed we are proud to announce the Explorer Scout Unit will reopen on FRIDAY the 7th September 2012. The Explorer Scouts will meet on a new day and time from September 2012, they will meet on a Friday night at 7pm till 9pm running alongside the Scout Troop.

Bag Packing at Tesco - 22nd December 2012

We would like to congratulate the Scouts & Explorers who took part and gave up their time on a Saturday to raise funds for summer camp. They raised £230 from the customers of Tesco's who very kindy donated as the scouts helped them with their packing.
