On the 7^th July 2012 Market Weighton Scouts troop help a bag packing event at our local Tesco Super Market. The Scouts stayed from 9:45am until 3:00pm and some could only do a couple of hours either in the morning or in the afternoon, but all the help they provided was greatly received.

We met at the front doors at 9:45 were John, Peter and Emma took them down the back of the tills to allocate them a till to help on. The scouts were busy packing bags, helping people with their shopping and generally being a real help to Tesco’s customers, and they did with a smile and a laugh.

At 3:00pm all the Scouts were collected by their parents, John, Emma and Peter when home to count the fundraising money.

They raised £514.00

Well done to all the Scouts and leaders who took part and a big thank you to Tesco's for letting us fundraise in their store.
