Minibuses Information Page
Welcome to the Market Weighton Scout Group Minibuses
We currently have four minibuses,
One 17 seater (including driver) 2006 Ford Transit mk7 extra long wheel base, with towbar.
One 15 seater (including driver) 2009 Ford Transit mk7 long wheel base, with towbar.
Two 9 seater & load area (including driver) 2016 Ford Transit mk8 long wheel base, with towbar.
There are NO Tacograph fitted to any of them.
Which are available to book out to Scout and Guide Groups and non-profit making groups which hold a valid Section 19 Permit.
The mini buses are insured for any person over 30 years old with at least 2 years driving experience who have NO points/convictions on their current driving licence and have no claims/accidents in the last 5 years. (section 5 user policy).
Any person wishing to drive who has convictions or has been involved in accidents during the last 5 years must be named on our insurance policy, the additional premium cost & admin charge for this will be passed on to the group booking the minibus.
To drive you need the following category on your licence
- 17 Seater D1 entitlement on your licence. D1+E if you wish to Tow
- 15 Seater As 17 Seater BUT If you are driving on a voluntary basis for social purposes by a non-commercial body you can drive the 15 seater on a car licence (B) but cannot tow.
- 9 Seaters B enttitlement (standard car licence), B+E if you wish to tow (everyone was given the entitlement back in December 2021 even if you passed after Janruary 1997).
The Minibus also has full UK breakdown cover. (section 5 user policy).
The minibus is equipped with; first aid kit, fire extinguisher, de-icer scraper & squeegee, Warning triangle, Spare bulbs, Tow Rope, Dust pan & brush, Torch, Map Book, High visibility coats, Folder of Journey & Maintance Sheets and Drivers Pack.
To make a booking fill out the ' Booking Form' and specify a primary driver who we will hand the mini bus over to (section 5 user policy)
We will require all drivers of the mini bus to fill in a 'Driver Registration form' (section 5 user policy).
Please read through 'User Policy' prior to completing either of the above mentioned forms.

Provisional bookings will be held for 2 weeks while we wait to receive the Booking Form & deposit.
Once booking are confirmed they are added to the calander
