On Friday 20^th December 2013 The Market Weighton Scout Group held our 1^st Group event, where all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers were invited to a joint Christmas Party and Chief Scout awards night in the Scout Hut.

On the 4^th – 8^th August 2013 Market Weighton Scout troop held our annual summer camp at Walesby Scout Activity Centre, Blyth, Nottinghamshire.

The camp was a great success for all those who took part from the scouts and explorers to the leadership team; we all achieve what was set out before us, from climbing walls to the cave maze to abseiling.

Fantastic Night had by all 

Tonight 20 Beaver Scouts put on their walking shoes and rucksack's and made their way down the dirt track to the district camp site for an hour and half of running around "climbing mountains" (referred to by the beavers) Shooting arrows (archery) and a beaver badge hunt.

Summer Camp 2012

From the 17th - 20th August 2012  Market Weighton Scout troop held our annual summer camp. We held this year’s camp at Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre, Chapeltown, Sheffield.

On the 7^th July 2012 Market Weighton Scouts troop help a bag packing event at our local Tesco Super Market. The Scouts stayed from 9:45am until 3:00pm and some could only do a couple of hours either in the morning or in the afternoon, but all the help they provided was greatly received.

From the 22nd - 24th June 2012  Market Weighton Scout Group held a Family Camp at Scarborough district campsite, Birch Hall.

On the 22^nd April 2012 Market Weighton Scout Group hosted the St Georges Day Parade for the Pocklington District.

On the 17th & 18th March 2012  Market Weighton Scout troop held a joint camp with Stamford Bridge Scout troop. We setup camp at Pocklington district campsite, Givendale.

Our Scouts took part in the annual incident hike. This year it was held at Melbourne Scout hut. The day started out cold but as we looked around it was shaping up to be a promising day in front of us.

Walesby forest Scout campsite is set in 250 acres of Sherwood Forest near Newark, the camp was decided on because of its close proximity to Sherwood Pines visitors Centre.
